I believe the ability to write a good essay is a valuable skill to posses. It is a valuable skill to posses so you can impress the universities you are trying to attend. If you write a killer essay, you will probably get it over the person who didn't. Also, it's good to know how to write an essay for when you are in the workforce. You might need to express some concerns about whats happening in your workplace so you could write a persausive essay to your boss or manager. Finally, I think it's good to know how to write a good essay because it shows universities/workplaces that your smart, well-educated person. All in all, it's great to posses the skills to write an excellent essay because you never know when your going to need it.

After watching the TED Talk about failure it hasn't changed my opinion on failure. I believe that no matter what your age, race, height, hair colour, mind set or anything if you fail, you fail. The speaker said that failure sometimes pushes you to succeed in another thing which I completely agree with she says grit is the key to not failing. I agree that everyone needs to be determined and passionate about their dreams but reality is you can't always succeed in every dream you have.

To me, to fail means to not succeed. Failure is when you do something that doesn't work. It's pretty obvious what failure means, if you try to save your work and it doesn't save, you've failed at saving the document. If you don't pass a test, you've failed the test. . Failure isn't a bad thing at all, you need to fail to learn other things. I know some people are afraid of failure but it's natural to fail. If you don't fail at some things in your life you will never grow or learn.

Romeo and Juliet captures a lot about teen love these days and also parents. I think it captures a lot about teen love because as soon as teenagers start datting they think they're in love. They would do anything for them and swear that they're life can't go on without that person. But odviously it can, it just takse time to get over someone. In Romeo and Juliet, they met and within a span of about a week they got married and killed themselves for eachother. That's a little drastic if you ask me but they both thought they couldn't life without eachother. All in all, I think Romeo and Juliet is a good love story but not to be followed as an example especially for young teens.

Today we watched two Romeo and Juliet movies to compared both. The first one was more urbanized. It was in a city, they had guns and cars, and were dressed like people would in the nineties. The second one was more 'Shakespearean' to me because it was more medeival and traditional. Personally I enjoyed the first one better because it was funny and entertaining. I'm curious to see more of that one. The only thing I didn't like about the more modern Romeo and Juliet was the speaking didn't really go with the acting because they were shooting and fighting while they were talking Shakepearean but I still enjoyed it. I didn't like the one set back in Shakespearean times because that kind of stuff doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't understand what they are saying and it's just boring to me. I can understand more what they saying in the mordernized film because the tone they speak in and actions are ones that I can understand more.

This morning when I woke up, I look outside. It looked so calm and pretty, not a thing wasnt covered in a thick blanket of white snow. There were some big fluffy snowflakes falling softly down to join the rest. It looked like something off of at postcard or a painting. When i looked closer I could see a spot of red. It was a beautiful cardinal sitting on a tree branch. I could see it crystal clear because of all the snow around it. Although snow can be a pain to drive in, after a fresh snow fall, I always seem to be happier.
